It's great to have this beer back again, but shameful that the world still needs to be reminded. Growlers and Pipsqueaks of Auntie Fa, our brown ale in honour of anti-fascist action, are available starting this week. Weirdly, this is one of our most subtle beers, with a lovely toasty malt profile and a light hop finish. Super drinkable, guaranteed to get great political discussions started. Talk politics! We're picking hops for the next three weeks (first half of September). It's a wonderful time of year as we gather a convivial group together to hang out and pick together. We've already picked the early Fuggles, Mt Hood and Goldings, next week it's onward to Willamette and many more! There's nothing as wonderful as the smell of fresh hops in the dryer - except the smell of the fresh-hopped beers which will be coming soon!

Our seasonal Sockeye Ale is now available! In growlers, party pigs and kegs, it's ready to enjoy. The Sockeye is named in honour of the Adams River sockeye salmon spawning grounds, and features our own indigenous hop variety - named Sockeye! Just as the salmon run revitalizes BC's ecosystems, the Sockeye hop revitalizes palates dulled by the same old hop profiles. It departs from the citrus aroma of so many IPAs, bringing instead a prominent bitterness with a deliciously spicy, slightly herbal and fruity aroma backed by a complex, rich malt body. Our annual festive harvest ale is on its way! Full of lovely roasted Red Kuri squash and gently spiced, the Maniacal Jack ale is perfect for crisp nights and warm days.
